It seems one of the most common phrases a parent says is, Where did the time go? It went by so fast. I sit here realizing that my son is now half a year old. It doesn’t seem so old in the grand scheme of things, but in baby days, so much has changed! Typically, 6 months is considered a 2nd milestone and most people flock to photographers to get pics of their babies right at 6 months. I like to do development milestones, the second being that the baby can sit without assistance. My daughter did this at 5 months, but my son being much bigger didn’t do it until just before 6 months. So here we are, 6 months later, wondering where did the time go.

I have mixed emotions posting this session of my daughter who just turned 3 – joy for all the happiness she brings us, pride for the little girl she is, and a little sadness for the time that passed oh so quickly. I look at her every day and still see the little baby we took home 3 years ago. But when I did this session and processed the images, I was faced with not the little baby and not even the toddler, but this precocious little girl who I am proud to be called her mommy. D’s mom contacted me about doing newborn pics a couple of months ago. She was due right before Christmas. She said she has been following my blog for over a year and although I usually take December off for the holidays, there was no way I could say no. I was so happy to meet D and his mom and dad this past weekend. D is a little peanut, but I’m sure he’s going to grow really fast since both his parents are quite tall! It was great to meet you guys yesterday and I look forward to seeing you again soon!
He’s not going to fit in Daddy’s hands like this for much longer!
He definitely knew his dad’s voice. He looked right up at him while his dad serenaded him.
